How it works

From install to everyday watering.

  1. Install the YardTouch controller in place of your existing timer.
  2. Set up your zones and watering schedule.
  3. Let YardTouch manage watering and adjust as needed.

Setup details

Planned setup flow (in development; final steps will be confirmed before launch):

  • Turn off power to your old timer.
  • Note which wire goes to each zone.
  • Move the zone wires and the common wire to the YardTouch terminals.
  • Connect any rain sensor or flow meter.
  • Plug in the 24 VAC transformer.
  • Set up Wi-Fi from your phone over Bluetooth.
  • Name your zones and set a schedule.
  • Planned: rain and weather skips, with the reason shown.
  • Planned: per-zone, soil-based watering.
  • Planned: leak and valve-fault alerts.
